Is there a setting to turn off the message when you log-in about how many emails you have?

No not if you are using the Exchange server as the message store.

The only thing you can do is setup a 2nd account for the user that does not get email and then it would be a VM only

We recently upgraded to CM 5.2 and MM 5.2. The TUI is Aria.
We are not using the Exchange server but I have one user out of over 2000 that when logs into the mailbox gets the notice that she has x voicemails and x emails. When you press 2 to hear the emails it states they are all from her with nothing attached.
Any help?? thanks in advance

FonTaz those "emails" are probably Notify Me messages or administrative messages (return receipts, etc). If you are using the MSS backend then have the subscriber log into the web client and review those messages to determine if anything needs to change in their account.
