Hello All
I have a Merlin Messaging R4, 8 ports with a Merlin Magix R4.71..the 1st AA is using CC group 770 w/ CC 1......My question is I need to assign a 2nd auto-attendant with 10 stations..Do I need to create CC group 771, Call Coverage 2 and 2 ports of the MM VM to make this work.
1 have assigned lines 810, 811 812 to the Messaging AA2 line assignment....cannot get it to answer my AA2 greeting.
What is the difference between assigning lines in the MM verses using SPM to assign lines in the Call Group.?
Thanks in Advance for your help.

If you're looking for Immediate Answer, it should be sufficient to assign the lines (or pool that the lines are assigned to) to the Voicemail Calling Group (770), and in Auto Attendant No. 2 assign the individual lines. If that doesn't work for some reason, you could certainly assign the lines to a different calling group, overflow it to the Voicemail calling group, and create a matching mailbox to point to AA-2.

Thanks TTT
Adding the lines to the MM AA2 does not work...I not sure what else to do...It mentions the
call delay options, which I presume is thru the programming in the Magix...there are several
call delay options...I've been using the MM R4.0 Admin program and it is straight forward...
I will try the overflow option...and let you know what happens
Thanks

I've been working with the MM R4 and got the AA's to answer, but I get dead air...I have checked on both AA's the
day & nite prompts...I though that I had got going after I did a backup with the MM admin software, but after
a 2nd backup....back to dead air....I wonder if it is the VM software itself or an I missing a AA parimeter that
allows the prompts to activate.
Any ideas...Thanks

I was thinking a touchtone receiver....my system a numbers of them...
But, I will look into the HD issue...

Got the AA2 to finally work the way I want it to.
Thanks for all your help.

With adding a phantom call (774) to this AA setup....right now I am using
copper dial tone for the lines...how does this change when I
convert this system to a ATT PRI ckt..
Thanks

Immediate answer - make an extension number to match the DNIS coming in from the telco (or use the routing table to delete/add digits), cover the extension to VM, and create the "mailbox" with option 3, assigning to the auto attendant.

I will be using sta 100 for the main pilot number to
route incoming calls to the console. The nite service
when ON should send calls to the VM...correct or is your
Immediate answer the only way the Messageing with handle
incoming calls.

You would delete the mailbox from 100 and recreate it to point to the AA - so call comes to 100, 100 rings, covers to VM, auto attendant answers. Night Service button is replaced with DND for immediate answer.

TTT
this is a follow up question regarding your last post...you wrote to remove the NS button and replace
on the console a DND button.
OK, do I remove the nite service programming in the Magix altogether or leave it for the AA option of "switch mode"
Or does it matter..I do have time control NS...Day 830am to 500pm, Nite 500pm to 830 am 5 days..closed on weekends.

Since incoming calls on the PRI are "number based", and the night service button controls LS/GS lines, the NS button can only be used to switch from Day Message to Night Message. And since you're using the Weekly Business Schedule, there's no need for that. The DND button is just used to send the calls to the AA immediately, instead of delayed.

Ok, I'm getting there. The DGC grp 774 which overflows to 770
and has the 801 to 809 assigned to it.... delete that as well?
I don't it is of any use after the PRI ckt is turned up.

I just finished the PRI cutover and TTT, I used your idea
to get the MM R4 to function properly
with incoming PRI calls....works like a charm.
Thanks for your help.
