We have the latest release of MM and SP8 with patch 1 and 2 installed. The caller app for the transfer to VM works - partially. When we dial in there is a period of silence then a prompt asking "are you there?" At that point you can dial the mailbox to transfer to. You can also dial *## when you think MM has answered and then enter the mailbox number. If you dial the mailbox number when you believe MM has answered, you get the prompt to "dial mailbox number" and have to enter the mailbox again. I'm no expert on caller apps but this seems a bit a miss. Any ideas from you MM experts out there?

Thanks,
Richard

On the Application tab on the Caller Apps menu -- what is the Input Options set for the Timeout value is it at default or is there a number entered?

I assume that you did not record a prompt for the call app? Or if you did do you hear it at all ?

If the entry prompt is recorded it should clear that issue up.

Thanks Ken

This single server platform has a few item that could use attention. One of them being not having access to do recordings directly from the virtual MAS server.

I've installed the caller app program on my laptop and am trying to access the MAS. The MAS is an FQDN and on a private domain. I can see via wireshark everytime my laptop tries to access the MAS after pressing enter to connect to the MAS. If I understand what I'm reading, there may be a security issue on the MAS.

Any additiona ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

When you say you do not have direct access are you saying that you can't login to the mas?

If you can then you should be able to set the recording to use the telephone and then just have it call your ext number.

The only other idea I have is get the bp that installed it on the line and have them show you how to do what I am talking about.
