MM: Mailbox deletion w/active messages doesn't give warning

Hello. We have an Avaya MM with the Avaya Message Store at version 5.1.

When our administrators delete a mailbox, the system will allow this even if there are active messages.

Is there a configuration setting to NOT allow this or at least prompt with a warning that messages exsist?

No there is not. I do not know will of any system that will do that.

You just need to make sure that the mailbox is not being used before deletion
