We have MM 3.0 and Lotus Notes. We use the Lotus Notes Desktop Client. We have a virtual fax that three people access from the Desktop Client. Usually one person checks the queue and disperses the faxes. However, when that person is out the other two will get in and do this. When they check a fax and it is not their's they will change it from read to unread with the unread marks option. So that the fax messages stays red. But when one of the others goes into the mailbox to check the fax messages the one that was marked unread and should be red is black. So they can not tell if it has been checked or not. Anybody know how to make it stay red for everyone?

Are you using the Lotus Notes as the message? or are you using MSS.

If you are using the Lotus notes as the store that would be a function of the notes or the DUC's server and not the MM plug-in as it is only reading the state from the store.

And when you say they are all checking it are they using the same PC or are they logging in from each end users PC?

We use Lotus Notes as our email system and the MM Client is a database in Lotus Notes. They each have an icon in Lotus Notes on their own PC's to access the MM Client for that voicemail box. I didn't think of it as being a Notes issue but I guess it would be since that is where the client resides. I will check with my Notes Admin to see what he thinks. Thanks for getting me going in the right direction!!

I think Ken was asking, do you use Notes as your message store for your voicemail, not email, or do you have a Message Storage Server in the design...

Either way, why not have them create folders.

1 for Read, and 1 for Unread.

Ah......we have a MSS. We just use our notes to get the vmail box to the desktop. Folders is a good idea though. I am having our Notes Admin give me some help on this so hopefully we can figure out a way to get them what they need. Thanks for your input.
