MM dial by name search

Hi All, We recently acquired a new location that will operate somewhat independently of our whole organization. We will be adding them to our PBX and Modular messaging. What they want to do is be able to use dial by name search. What we are hoping to do is narrow their search options down to the individual location. If I put these users in a separate Community ID, and don’t give them send options to other Community ID's, will the dial by name search be narrowed to the individual community? We have about 10,000 users and we want to avoid these folks having to search the whole directory to find a user in a location that only has 100 people. Thanks.

You can not narrow it down by site or community in MM. If you use Multi site you can use the site name for spell by name but that will only play what you have recorded for the name of the site before it plays the user name.

If you do not use spell by name at the other locations you can add a 1 or * as the leading character and then it can't be spelled.
