MM client with outlook 2007

I have MM 5.1 with MSS server and running Outlook 2007 fully patched.

We have installed the outlook client and have run into an issue when creating rules to copy message from the Avaya inbox to the local user mailbox.

Since we are using MSS intergration instead of a full exchange intergration the users have two inboxes.

For blackberry and windows mobile phone users we need to copy a message from the avaya inbox to regular inbox so their phones sync up.

The issue is creating an outlook rule. I have created a rule to copy the message but it only works when I manually activate the rule. The rule will not run its own.

Has anyone had the same issue or knows how to correct the rule.

That is working as designed (for Outlook). If you are looking to have your voicemails actually in your Exchange mailbox (or any email address) you will either need to change to use MM for Exchange or purchase some other 3rd party product like EVM from Mutare to accomplish that.
