We're installing a MAS/MSS setup. The MAS server came 'preloaded'. However, when going into Component Services and trying to start the MM Messaging Application Server service, we get 'ERROR 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.'

So an Avaya MM Engineer told us to reload the software. We did last night, it's STILL doing the same thing! What gives! ARRGHHH! I miss my Intuity!!!

So you get the install the whole way using the DCT and it gets to the finish page and it still does this ?

Yes. Spent some time on the phone with various Modular Messaging engineers with Avaya. Come to find out, they said the software is 'bad' and we're downloading the iso image installation disk 1 of MAS, as they don't ship out the DVD's anymore...welcome to PLDS.

They do ship it but it cost $25.00 for the DVD's now. What type of server are you using ?

i have had that happen to me 3 or 4 times on the S8800 servers so far.

They told us that the software we had 'may' be the wrong load. They said that there is a certain load for the S8800's, therefore, we're downloading the load we were told to use from PLDS. It's actually quite aggravating.
