MM 5 Active Directory Change

I have an issues with email delivery etc and when checking the event log decided to run MM permissions checker. I have noticed that the Active Directory server address is not longer right this got changed but the MM was never updated.

When i have tried to change this under message application server > messanging > primary directory server... it will accept the change but when i log back in its gone back to the old active directory server.

How do i make this change permenant, do i need to change it somewhere else ?

MM will not realize the change until after the MM Messaging Application Server service is restarted. It should have shown a window stating that after you clicked the Ok button after you made the Peer Directory Server name change.

no it didnt, so i have tried a change and a manual restart of the service but again when i went back in to the MAS programming it had reverted back so as a final option i tried change and a reboot same again as soon as it opened back up it reverted back to the old AD server.

how would you advise to go about getting this resolved?

I would contact your maintenance provider as they probably need to change some things in the registry. You should also upgrade to MM 5.2.

sorry for the confusion, we are the maintainer i have just limited experience on MM but wanted to try various avenues to rectify the issue before passing to Tier 3/ for a visit.

Change the Peer Directory server in the registry, restart the vserver service, then wait for MM to resync the FEDB.
