MM 5.2 - Outlook Setup requiring SMTP access (security threat)

Running CM5.2 with MM 5.2

I am trying to set up a user with Voicemail to Email within Outlook. Not using the MM Voicemail Client. Just adding a new mailbox account within their outlook.

In doing so,
It is asking for the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) Address.

I was notified by my network department that if we added this SMTP address, it would require them to open up SMTP mail relay on the Exchange server for PC's, which is against security's best practice.

Any thoughts?

I inputted the MSS address and it worked!
No need for the network team to get involved with their SMTP issues.
