I see conflicting information and I hope someone might have the answers. Can 2 seperate Avaya MM systems with MAS and MSS communicate (network) without the Avaya Message Network Server? Is this also true if the MM was setup using different Exchange systems? The next question is whether an Aria 350 can both analog and digital network? If the digital networking is setup, can it communicate directly to MM or will it still require a Network Message Server? Is there any idea of what Avaya gets for the Networking Messaging System?

yes they can as long as they are both MSS back-ends. If you are using Exchange you can only network using Octel Analog networking and then only if it is not Exchange 2007. 2007 does not have the ability to network at all.

If you have a Octel 350 then you must use a message networking system regardless of the type of network the MSS only uses SMTP and the Octel does not.

As far as price it can run anywhere from 24,000.00 to 100,000.00 depending on the options and type of server.

You can lease them for around 2,500.00 @ month plus installation
