MM 4.0 - Looking up Extensions

Is there a way for a user to perform a dial by name type action but here the extension numbers of a user(s). Currently they can dial by name but they never hear the extension.

Ideally I would like just a directory feature to look up numbers and then instead of trying to route the call go back to the options menu.

Anyway to do this?
 
Not from the TUI. If you are using a MSS back end then you can use the Web Client to do a look up but that is only if the person looking is a user with a mailbox.

Is there a way to create a caller app or mailbox that automoatically plays a message to end users where they can fast forward and rewind through the message?
 
Also is there a way to provide dial by name directory without ringing the phone and instead terminiating directly into a user mailbox?
 
when you are in the Dial by name feature of MM it depends on how your system is setup as to how it will act on caller requests. If you enabled automated attendant then it will dial out to the assigned extension of a requested DBN entry. If you disabled that option (AA) then it will transfer the caller to the mailbox.
