A couple of questions on MM with Exchange backend ver 3.0

Is it possible to turn-off the ability to read e-mails when using the telephone user interface on a user by user basis?

Can we change the notification on the number of ‘new messages’ to only state the number of new voicemail messages when dialing in to access voicemail?

Can we turn-off the e-mail notification for select users when a new message is received, and require them to check voicemails over the phone?

Any help would be greatly appeciated as I am having very little success finding answers.

The only way to do this is to give the user a different email box on exchange that the MM points to in AD. Then only Voice mail would go to it.

Or to setup a 2nd exchange server and domain for VM only.

The whole system uses the email store for VM so it is only telling the user what is in the email store for them.

Not sure what you mean by e-mail notification? Do you mean notify me by SMTP or just not send the VM to the email box in Outlook?

You can turn off the notify me on a per users basis

Who is your vender? they should be able to point you in the right direction. It also sounds like you may want to look at using the MSS message store rather than Exchange
