MLX10DP phone - ring tones

I have a site with MLX10dp's in a 'bull pen' seating arrangement. Can these phones be set so each has a different ringing sound for incoming calls?

There are 8 different ringing patterns available. Pattern 1 is the factory default. Use the feature code *32 + a digit for the ring pattern (1 - 8) to change the ring pattern.

Do I need to get dialtone before entering the feature code or what? I am obviously doing something wrong.

Dial 00, then the feature code, then the ring pattern number. Or, press "feature" (same as dialing 00), then do the rest.
