Hi,
Is there way to make an MLX10D ring the same as the ring pattern coming in from the CO. I have line 801 assigned to the third button down on the left hand side. When I pick up, it gives me outside dialtone, and I just dial. When a call comes in, it just rings a normal single ring pattern. The outside ring coming in could be the special identa-ring call from an identa-ring number on the same line, or it could be the triple ring call intercept ring. Is there a way to match the ring patterns? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a merlin legend with a CKE3 R7 V12 processor, MLX 008 card, 800 GS/LS ID card, and an 016 TTR with ring generator card.

Thanks Again.

Here's the way it works.

WHEN SET TO THE DEFAULT RINGING PATTERN:

Inside RINGING CALLS (Intercom calls) Ring ONCE.

Outside calls ring ONCE with a short beep at the end.

TRANSFERRED CALLS ring ONCE with 2 BEEPS at the end.

To have line one sound differently, have a near by phone set up with one of the 8 different ring patterns available.

But the bottom line is the way it works is the way it works.

The only differences between inside, outside and transferred calls is as described above.

Yeah, but to hear identa-call paterns, which are different ring cadences coming in from the Telco, depending on what the caller has dialed, you're going to need to wire up a ringer AHEAD of the system and place it near the telephone, relying on that ringer to determine the identa-ring.

Or, get some type of device that will detect the ring pattern and shunt it to different SL devices, like a FAX switch that triggers on the identa-ring, and send the output ports to different CO's on the Legend. You don't get distinct rings, but you get ringing on specific lines/buttons to determine how to handle the call.
