I Have an MLX-20L that has two buttons on it that no longer work. Is this a common problem with this phone. or MLX phones.

I assume you are talking about two of the twenty that no longer work, and if so, no, this is not common.

There is a thin mylar membrane under the keypads of MLX phones that wear out or microwires break. This membrane can be replaced. Any refurbishers can do this. You might be better off buying a different one on Ebay. You can pick these up for under a hundred. A refurbisher would probably charge about the same. I have a couple of numbers to refurb people if you want. Email me!
