MLX 20L Phone set test 2

Can someone tell me the method to test a MLX 20L with a DSS, I am trying to rule out burnt out LED's. Thanks, Joe

Pick up on an SA button and dial *08 this will light all of the LED's on the set.

The way I was taught to test the phone, was to press intercom, then *00. This puts any phone in "test" mode. When you press each of the function buttons on the top panel of the 20L - it should display the button function. When you want to check the programmable buttons, touch each one twice to toggle the green/red lights. When you press each number keypad button - the message light should toggle on/off and you should hear a touchtone sound in the receiver. When you press the bottom non-led function keys - the message light should toggle.

*00 Is correct.

You can press the line buttons and toggle from red & green to off, to green to red.

Also, you can press Voulme Down, Voulme Up, transfer, conf, drop hold, and then 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,*,0,#, and then you should hear a couple of beeps.
