Hi, I have a lucent phone. 4 of the buttons on my phone are not programmed. What i want to do is program the 8 lights, on the phone that are left, for 8 extensions. I want it to light up if someone if the extension is busy. I guess my basic question is, A)how can i program these lights to do it B)what doc would this be in on how to do it. C)can i program both lights on 1 button to have seprate functionality. or D) am i just dreaming here?

To program the buttons for this feature go into Centralized Programming. You need to assign each button as an autodial button. It will then ask if it is inside or outside. You will press inside, then it will ask for the ext #. The lights will then light up when that ext is on the phone. Lights can't have duel features. Sorry about that.

at the set press feature 00. then press the button you want to program. then press the button below list. press te button next to more to scroll thru your options. tnen choose autodial, inside or outside, the the extension number. press home to exit. you can only use 1 button for 1 extension. red shows busy, green shows ringing.
