As I understand, MLS is not supported on an interface with a dynamic access list configured. I have a VLAN interface on my RSM that has the established command in one of the statements (making it a dynamic list), and I want to configure MLS on that interface. From what I have read, this is not possible. Can anybody help me with a way round this problem as MLS needs to go on that interface

Thanks very much,

Daniel,

MLS = multilayer switching.

RSM = Route Switch Module.

Access list entry doesn't work with certain switching modes. Test this feature with your version of the IOS. What is you IOS version?.

Also your makeing it very hard to administer.

A network administrator typically uses access lists to implement five types of policy controls:

· Access to router resources
· Route distribution
· Packets passing through a route
· Controlling routes accepted and distributed
· Matching protocol ports
Route once; switch many
