Hi,

Can anyone help me with the mloadcfg.dat file and use of MATCHLEN parameter??

I am trying to use the MATCHLEN parameter to avoid any multiload failures whenever the record length does not match with the layout specified. apparently there is no much information available in the documentation.

My main problem is to avoid mload failures if the record is shorter or bigger than the specified record lenght in ther layout.Mload failes in the acuisition phase if the record is not big enough. How ew can avoid this kind of situation and allow mload to go ahead by not considering such records.

Any help in this regard is much appreciated.

Thanks
Sri

"apparently there is no much information available in the documentation."

Which manual you're referring to? At least since TUF 6.2 there's info about it, and it's bad news for you:

MATCHLEN=on
terminates when the actual record length is not equal to the layout record length

MATCHLEN=on
terminates only when the actual record length is less than the layout record length and ignores the additional data

The default is OFF

"How ew can avoid this kind of situation and allow mload to go ahead by not considering such records"

Write an INMOD to skip those records.

Dieter
