I am using a 3-digit extension of 822 (which matches the last 3 digits of a DID number) as an operator for a busy company. If you call either their main number or another one that ends in 0356, they want both selector codes 1 and 2 to point to extension 822, and selector code 3 go to to the general mailbox for auto attendant 1 (ext 356.) The selector code 3 works correctly, pointing to mailbox 9991, but 1 or 2 won't go to 822.
I think it is because I have it as an automated attendant (number 2.) The reason I made it an auto attendant mailbox was so it's greeting could use selector codes as well.
S0..I guess what I am trying to say is that I am trying to take 2 numbers - 930-8822 and 930-0345 and give both of them selector codes that point anyone who is trying to change an appointment to extension 822, since it is the dispatch person. Is this possible, or will I have to make the extension a different class of service? And if I do that, will that extension (822) be able to use a greeting that has selector codes?
