Hey Guys,

I'm having trouble setting up a MLAA on out North American switch.

I've got the IQ setup so that on option 1 it transfers to the embedded voicemail, the voicemail plays a message where the caller can dial an extn number, or press 9 for the company directory, but cannot get either option to work!

The VM options are set to allow transfer to any number, but when you press 9 to dial by last name, the system says it doesnt understand that command, and does the same when entering any extension number.

I always thought that when you setup an MLAA, option 9 by default once pressed would allow you to get to the company directory, as would dialling any number as long as it has the same length digits as the pilot number for the AA?

Help!

The Main Level Greeting has access to 9 and Dial an extension.

Menu Nodes do not.

For single digit transfers you can use single digit mailboxes.

Hi kwbMitel, thanks for the quick reply.

I've setup a mailbox as a menu node xxx with matching extension, so it isn't a menu option off the MLAA, it shows as an attendant with the 9 options.

Menu Nodes do not allow Dial an Ext or Dial by Name.

If you require DBN and Dial extension you must use the main level (Not mailbox associated.

ok, this now throws up several other issues!!!

I don't want to get rid of the main level when i switch over to the IQ route, just incase the powers that be want to revert back to the AA.

So, as you suggested, i've programmed single digit transfers. But the main level uses the digits 1 - 6 for transfers, so I programmed the digit 7 as the 1st menu node, as a transfer only mailbox, now this works, but you have to dial 7xxx.

If i change the mailboxes 1, 2, 3 from being transfer & menu node mailboxes, I know i'd lose the menu options assigned on the mailbox, but will i lose any of the recordings that are currently in place on those mailboxes?
