ML570 (P20) with 4 CPU's

Moin,

my ML570 inits 4 CPU's by booting, but Operating system is running, only 1 CPU' is working

OS are VMWare ESX 2.5.3 or Knoppix 5.01 - both reports 1 CPU. VMWare licence is corecct for 4 CPU's.

I'd updated the BIOS to version 2002.12.17 - no change

any idea?

I'd downgraded the Bios to version 4.04 A (01/21/2001) - we have 4 700 MHz Xeon inside - the server starts - checks the CPU's - said: Not supported Processors - System holded

How can I reset the system?
