ML370 G3 Fan controllers

We have a 5 year 'oldish' ML370 G3 that has recently started having problems with keeping all the fans going. The fans are all hot-plug devices, there are 6 in total, positioned at the front, middle and back of the rack.

2 of the fans in any of the 6 ports fail on startup, all the fans have been testing in different ports and no one port is having a regular failure.

I can only think this is a fan controller or system bios issue and would be interested to hear if this is a known issue and what the solution is (if any)

Are you running the HP Insight Manager drivers on the server and do they pick up any hardware-related issues? Updating the BIOS to the latest version wouldn't go a miss.
