hi!
we have a aix52 system with etherchannel, oneday system was failed to mount /usr on rebooting so we restored mksysb.

question: Etherchannel device and network configuration was destroyed in the system after restored mksysb. why this problem happend?

Right! we,ve got a mksysb 6hours ago.

I take it your /usr is mounted on an "etherchannel" volume ?
If not you had some other problem and AIX just got confused and the default message for boot problems tends to give you the idea it has failed mounting /usr but the actual problem relates to the boot disk / disks.
When AIX fails part way through a disk boot it tends to blame a failure to mount /usr but in reality it has failed the hdisk boot process and is trying to boot the first ethernet adapter that comes to hand.
I don't suppose you recorded the op panel code or the service processor error logs ?
