Will mklvcopy allow me to attach a striped volume to a non-striped volume?

If not, is there a way, without much downtime to migrate the data from vol_1 to stripevol_1 ?

Thanks.

IMHO talking logically it can't be done! coz u already have stripped your first volume group to its disks so how would you restripe the other volume group with them! i can't see this happening unless you backup the whole thing, recreate your stipes and then restore!

The second question sounds better! Why don't you just directly copy the data from vol_1 to stripevol_1?

Regards,
Khalid
