I'm running Peachtree on a Dell system with XP Pro and am getting a MKDE2060 error from MicroKernel . I refuse to pay Peachtree to correct what seems to be a product defect. I know one or more of my files may be corrupt because I maintain a backup system at home and have no problems when running it from a backup I made at work. Research has led me to Btrieve/Pervasive who informed me that Peachtree uses their 6.15 database engine which they no longer support since 1999 when the name changed. From Persvasive's site I got the following: 'Use the -REGINSTALL startup parameter next time you start the MicroKernel. This parameter forces the MicroKernel to recreate its section in the registry with the default values for each configuration option'. My error does say error reading the registry code 2. My question is, how do I do this?. I need to fix this quickly as some of the reconciliation features no longer work. I tried uninstalling the product(the obvious choice ) but it wouldn't let me. I'm a former IT (mainframe) consultant and know my way around pcs, operating systems, applications so I know enough not to mess with something unless I have knowledge or some help. I've all but given up on this and am ready to rebuild the machine from scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated . my address is relampico@hotmail.com. thank you
