I have 10 non-ISDN SDN outbound circuits in 1 trunk group. Can I add more 5 SDN outbound as ISDN circuits in another trunk group and have them function as an overflow? Would there be any special considerations I'd need to address in the Avaya S8700? Thanks

Would it not make sense to create a non-ISDN overflo trunk group instead?

What does the documentation say about mixing facility protocols?

Will the system software even allow you to do that?

I would think that if you put something non-ISDN in an ISDN trunk group that it would not function at all. Example: putting a 64k DDS channel unit in a channel bank slot provisioned for Dial Pulse Originate ckt or an FXS type; the channel unit will physically plug into the slot but nothing will happen.

Does that make sense?
