I created my website using Frontpage and have now hired a someone to add database within a form that I created with Frontpage. He wrote the updates in php and has never worked with Frontpage. He told me he will just add his updates using ftp. I have read that you can't mix Frontpage with ftp and I am a little confused as to what I need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct about not FTP into a site that you have created with FP - especially forms. But You can always get your hosting company to uninstall the extensions & re-install them.

Plus you should try to upload them yourself via FP because you need a copy on your local machine. If it asks you about files being on the server that is not on the source & you wish to delete... and you delete - then there goes the PHP files.

Of course after he uploads them & you get the FP extensions worked out - you can sign onto the server & publish to your hard drive.
