How can I find the audio level of, for example MasterVolume or Wave in WindowsAudioMixer?

I need this to express the intensity of the sound, in a visual way.

Please excuse my english & thank you for any help!

That's not exactly what i wanted :(. I don't want to change the volume, I want to read somehow the power of the sound at the output of an audioline. Some audio programs(like SoundForge)can do that when recording. Something similar is used when calibrating the microphone, in Windows. I need to do the same thing, but with the MasterVolume, in an VB program.

Thenk's for any help
