Does anybody have a mixed environment of Cisco and Avaya IP phones and also have Cisco CDP enabled. Does this cause any issues with the Avaya IP phones?
I know that Avaya phones do not use Cisco Discovery Protocol. I was wondering if the Avaya phones work OK if they happen to be deployed in a Cisco network where CDP is enabled.
It shouldn't, no. I'd imagine that the phones ignore the CDP message no different than they would ignore any other messages coming across that didn't pertain to the device.
