My system is connected to a PRI with a block of DIDs. I only want 1 TN sent as CLID for all outbound phone calls with the exception of the fax machines number. I went to the form DID Ranges for CPN Substitutions, entered my DID range and the TN I want sent in the CPN Substitution form. However, a different TN is being sent. It appears to be the billing TN. Could the service provider be overriding the TN I'm trying to sent on outound CLID or is their more programming I need to completed in order for it to work. I understand both could be true but if there's additional programming needed, please advise.

Thanks

CPN substitution form, Did you assign the index number of the DID substitution list to the PRI?
Associated directory number can also be used to assign a CPN substitution for an extension.
The carrier could also be blocking

It is much much easier to use the Associated DN form for CPN substitution unless we are talking large ranges of phones.

Waldosworld, I did not assign the index number of the DID sub list to the PRI. It's just a matter of assigning the index # chosen in the DID Ranges for CPN Sub to the CPN Substitution sub form DID Ranges?

If I decided to use the Associated DN form instead, I'd only have to enter 20 DIDs. However, what about the rest of the DNs programmed as guest rooms in the system? How would the system know what CPN to sub for outbound calls on those DNs?

The CPN Substitution form has an entry for a default CPN

If you don't use associated numbers any other stations will give out either the default CPN or nothing (withheld) depending on the setting in CPN. Which is system wide.
