Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with straight call accounting on the 3300/MiVB with SIP Trunks?
I'm just looking for your run of the mill call accounting but they do have SIP trunks. They also have MiCC. I did see in a forum that MiCC doesnt do trunk reporting on SIP trunks.
Is this information correct?
What is the best way to go about call accounting on Mitel?

it probably depends upon exactly what you are interested in
MiCC wont yet provide similar trunk usage reports to TDM trunks as the SIp trunk isnt reported on per channel
- with ISDN for example you could get a trunk group report and a trunk report
Analytics can be used to provide snmp based reporting on trunk usage

for normal reporting on what numbers were dialled ,most Mitel supported call accounting packages would be ok as the SMDR will still output the
date time length of call number dialled (or recieved) extension dialling(or recieving) the call.
In all cases the SIp trunk calls will share the Trunk number assigned on the Peer

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks Billz66.

Is the call accounting in MiCC 9 the one that can be found in Tools-->Inspectors and use the SMDR inspector to do the 'reports'?

Or is there an easier way to do this? If that is the only way, that's kind of brutal....and i can see why you would want to use another software package. Strange that Mitel wouldn't have one with MiCC though.

there is an add on for Micc for accounting but its only supported in some regions

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Yes there is a license now for MiCC called Business Reporter, I think they come in 50 packs.

Not sure about the regions supported though.

It basically allows general reporting and stats on all extensions, not just Agents.

Yeah call accounting is available (based off region) for MiCC - Canada/US for sure.
I've configured a number of times and it is okay.
Also I know sip trunk reporting was added in either 8 or 9, I'd have to look at the release notes to know for sure which one.

How do you access this call accounting (Business Reporter)?

It's the regular MiCC setup. I think if you do the 5 day trial it gives you like 50 extensions.

Then in YSE you have configure either by Carrier plan or subscriber groups. There should be a call account option at the bottom:

On media servers you need to check off Licensed for Business Reporter
On Extensions you check off License this extension

Sorry, I meant how do you access the reporting part of MiCC Call Accounting. I've already setup call accounting via MiCC. I'm just looking to be able to generate reports now.

It is the same place as other ACD voice reports. (CCMWeb)

You'll just report on extensions or employees instead.
