hi
MiVB 8.0 SP3 PR1
Mitel dect (Ascom hardware)

since 2 weeks, when a user with a dect phone is calling an other dect user, the caller hears a busy tone, but the other phone rings!
So only internal calls and only between dect handsets.

this behavior is in 50% of the calls?
not sure when, but on some days more than others.

I was able to replicate it and when doing a trace on the mivb or parimaster, I saw that the mivb is not sending a 180 ringing (both same outcome)

Try disabling PRACK in your SIP Device Capability setting.

We think we found something in the SIP Device Capability setting
BTW, I couldn't find PRACK. Is that a new setting in MiVB 9?

Today we discovered that it appears to be a corrupted 180?
In the call flow/ sip ladder, 180 is not visible.
In the raw trace it IS visible: but when you open the packet: Unrecognised

When 'Enable Digit Collection in Busy Or Alerting State' was disabled for the 2 Mitel dect phone series we have, it worked...

So lets see if it's solved the next couple of 2 weeks or so.

What's strange to me, is that the traces today stated that no 180 was send. But all (most?) phones rang.
The last 2 weeks look like a wave. One day lots of complaints, some days none.
But in both cases: no 180.

Our supplier send these findings to Mitel. Let's see what they say.

PRACK is a SIP setting aka Reliable Provisional Responses
