Will 6900W firmware work on a 8.0 PR3 system?

Please download the mitel- phoneloads-69xxw-2.0.1.12- 1.noarch.rpm OR the mitel- phoneloads-69xxw.tar build from the Mitel SWDL
To install firmware, refer to the 69xxWiFi-FW-2.0.1.12- Procedure.doc (KMS HO4867)

Thanks, that's what i was thinking, but I saw a post somewhere that seemed to indicate you could simply download the 6900W series firmware onto 8.0 for a 6940W to work and I hadn't heard that before.

I would also add the newest 6900 non W firmware to ny system capable. Can wait for any 5900 to reboot before the upgrade is applied.

FYI we have had some customers use 69xxW handsets without the correct firmware
- some work some dont , sometimes they start working then stop

Best to upload the suggested 2.0 firmware anywhere you may have a 69xxW phone and ensure that they have updated their firmware
once they are on 2.0 they appear to be stable
