Mitel Wirless Handset

I have a customer that has a Mitel Wireless handset on an IP 5340. There is an answer/hangup button on the handset. It was working fine and now it seems it is not working. Every other function of the handset works but the answer/hangup button. I don't recall there being any programming with it, so I am assuming it's just a defective unit (probably dropped it). Does anyone have any input on this?
FYI: I am not at the site( they are 5hrs away )

I have one on my desk with my 5340. The way it works is you pick it up and then you get dialtone. you dont need to press anything. What I would double check is that the handset is not dead or unpaired from the phone. Press the superkey, go to page 2 and choose cordless devices and make sure you see Cordless handset in the list with the battery indicator. If you dont see it, it probably needs to be paired back to the phone.

It's definately paired. Everything else works except that button. If was not paired it would not work at all.

I have installed lots of the Wireless Handsets and have never had the problem of the on-hook, off-hook button not working on the Wireless Handset, so I would also guess a defective unit.

I recently replaced one when the customer was experiencing the same issue. Opened up the handset and found that the hook switch was faulty. Switch connection to mainboard lost contact, faulty soldering.
