Mitel Voice Mail

Hi,
I have a Mitel sx-200 EL/ML with LightWare 19. I would like to add voice mail to it but I have a question. I have a DuVoice VS Ensemble on an NEC that was just taken out of service due to the business closing. Is it possible to use the DNIC integration with the Mitel as I was looking through the DuVoice manual and saw that there is a DNIC integration as well as an analog integration. I would prefer to use the DNIC if possible as I do not have an ONS card in the system right now. But my question is will the current voice board in the DuVoice work with DNIC integration.

Not a clue. Not familiar with that voicemail, but if it came off a NEC system my guess would be that the voice board in the DuVoice is set to work with a NEC equivalent of the DNIC interface. You probably need another card or at least need to reflash the board to work with Mitel DNIC. The question is what integration did it use with the NEC?

The NEC was using an analog integration.

If it was using analog integration ie single line ports, you are pooched unless you throw a ONS card in the SX200 or buy a DNIC card for the DuVoice. Thats my thought. Flashing wouldn't help because the DuVoicecard needs to contain DNIC circuitry to interface that way to the SX200. You need to program fake DNIC sets on the SX200 and the DuVoice needs to be able to appear as a DNIC set to the SX200. Therefore it needs DNIC circuitry.
