error logs as follows: milap error 3: bay 01 PCM: bay 01 msg link failure: milap error 6:
same errors - sometimes runs for a week, sometimes fails
2 times per day
thanks,

Are you saying this error occurs in isolation and that there are absolutely zero logs that occur around the same time.

If yes then say so.

Then provide ALL pertinent logs.

following are errors from 22:35
1. milap error 3
2. bay 01 PCM
3. bay 01 msg link failure
4. milap error 6

these are the errors that occur on each incident

i don't usually work with phone systems so am not sure what other error messages you might be looking for?

What is the software version? Q.46.10 is the latest version and has corrected some of the issues referenced.

MarkCompton - I think your question is valid in one sense and not correct in another.

I don't think Bay 1 PCM error would ever occur on an ELx. Correct me if I'm wrong.

RECKG - Be more specific about your hardware type and software level. I do not recognise the milap error.

it looks like the system is sx200ELx and software is Q46.0.10

sorry about the dsp post. i thought it was an icp. it could be a bad digital card or bcc111 card.

it seems to boil down to the bccIII card.. i tried to replace
it with a new 1, but could not get the new 1 to work so will
call a service pro. thanks everyone your help.

RECKG - replacing the BCCIII would be a good idea.

I've never seen Bay 1 PCM errors on an ELX and the BCCIII would be the only likely candidate in my opinion.

When replacing the BCCIII, you need to allow it to download its software (20-30 minutes). If you did not wait previously AND the BCCIII you tried had already started its download before you aborted, then the BCCIII you have will need to be re-flashed before it can be used again.

do i have to return bccIII card to manuf to reflash?

There is a process to re-flash the BCCIII in a per-node (not bay 1 on an ELx)

I believe is may be done in Bay 1 if you have the Maintenance Daughter Board but I'm not sure.

Otherwise - you can send for repair or go the advanced replacement route.
