Comrades, I went to my customers hotel. They have the WASHER/ DRYER type twin cabinets for the SX200 digital. Anyhow the cabinet with the CO cards, slot 8 a station card, port 7 lights up when I go off hook, I get DTMF tones, I get battery, polarity indication, but no dial tone.
I removed all cross connect and same exact symptoms on Red/ Orange of block. I suspect bad port.

There is a monitor & keyboard at the switch, but I nor the staff knows what to do. I suppose X1810 or 810 could be re-ddirected to another working port?

We already swapped station cards, but same symptoms. Thanks.

You swapped station cards and you still have the problem with the same extension or did it follow the card? If you are working with an 8 port station card then you either have a SX200 analog or a sx200 analog to digital conversion.

To answer your question, yes the extension can be moved to another "working" port. Do you have any experience with a Mitel system?

"The only problem with common sense is that it's not that common

NO experience with this system. The cabinets say digital, using one pair of wiring throughout for extensions.

hook up a modem and call a Mitel Dealer that can program it for you. TSAChoice in Asheville NC (Western Carolina) can help with programming. Very Good service staff...
