Is there a access code to pick up a specific line in a system from a single line set? I am needing to pick up a specific line to call forward it but this is a business with single line sets everywhere and no console set up to use. Any help is appreciated.

There is a maintenance access code. Typically 555. From the Maintenance port (Slot 1, cct 1) you can dial the maintenance code + trunk acess code. Intructions are in the manual (if you have one)

There might be a plug in or terminals on the front of the cabinet to access the Maint port. There is on a SX200 but I'm not sure of the 100 Cabinet.

I havent touched an Mitel analog cabinet like yours in over 10 years so my info is necessarily vague. (like my memory)

why don't you go directly on the trunk with a butt set or are you not able to be on site?

I guess I need a little more info posted for you. The customer is wanting to call forward this specific line at the end of the day to another one of their sites, and unforward it when they return the next day. So we are hoping that there is a way to grab that specific line by a code so that they can forward that every day.

Option 1 - Hopefully the line is loop start so that you can just wire out a jack directly to the trunk and plug in an analog phone.

Option 2 - If you have a console, the direct trunk select is fairly simple.

Option 3 - Embrace the 90's and install a system that doesn't pre-date the Challenger disaster.

I thought about the jack with an analog phone, since the customer does not have a console connected. And we are trying to talk the customer into a newer system but they are just not wanting to spend the money right now for a new system. This is an ideal location for either the Partner ACS or a NEC DSX. so we will keep trying.

p.s. I always enjoy working on a phone system that is not older than I am, but the older ones sure give me a challenge.
