Our phone system crashed, and call routing stopped working properly. Calls that should go to a pool, went to an overflow line, etc. After trying to get it to work, I manually changed the phone system over to use Plane B and things started working properly again. Which leads me to believe Plane A is currupted.

How can I make it fix plane A using data from Plane B?

What software release are you running? What alarms are currently active?

Try running a DBMS CHECK BRIEF (that's the full command)
It will take a while to run but it will tell you if you have database corruption, (i.e., table errors or view errors or both)which is what it sounds like you have. Recovering from DB corruption will take a brief outage, typically 20 mins on a 2K redundant Light. If you have a technician's handbook handy, now would be a good time to get and read how to perform the recovery steps.

I ran the check. it says 0 view errors, 1 table error, 94 forms inaccessible. Internal Level audit failed, see software logs for details...

Going from fuzzy memory.... it's been years... (peers pls correct me if I missed something)

Commands as follows (from the command line interface)
On the Active side: Activity Freeze ON
Data save on active side
when complete.....
Partition Active (force if necessary)
Partition Inactive (force if necessary)
on Inactive side: Vol dismount sysuser
on Inactive side: Vol format disk sysuser (enter partition specifications appropriate for your load) - see release notes for the specific load you are running -
when complete......
on Inactive side: Vol restore sysuser from other
when complete.....
Reload the inactive plane
when complete.....
Enter the 'JOIN' command on both planes; Enter the command on the inactive first & wait for confirmation that system join completed. Then repeat the command on the active side, again wait for confirmation that system join completed
on the Actve side: Activity Freeze Off
Check activity transfer schedule (typically daily 2:15 AM) Also make sure is is "ON"
on the Active side: File Stat red
The system should hopefully reply "IN SYNCH"
Make the sign of the cross.....
on the Active side: Activity Switch Force

Watch for a warning message that system degradation will occur. If you see this message DO NOT PROCEED without further guidance

If you deviate from the steps in the tech handbook you will be sorry. MIMB is an expert, but I doubt even he would attempt this process without the handbook in his grasp.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Agree. Without the tech handbook AND the release notes for your specific load in hand you're betting that I haven't overlooked something going from memory. ( I haven't done this in over 4 yrs and all my sx2000's have long since been retired, as I should also)

The 'restore sysuser from other' I think is also an undocumented/unsupported command.

I've still got my old documentation CD from LW32R2, which has the procedure for fixing redundant file corruption, but I was waiting to hear some more details before giving potentially bad advice.

Well, arguably yes. The poor fellow could just as easily be sitting there in front of some old black boxes running F stream :)

Speaking of which, whatever became of the guy out on the left coast with his tightwad boss and his old Q stream system he had duct-taped together? Haven't seen one of his posts here in years.

The guy from the left coast is probably not able to call oout for help. I've been doing this for a long time and wouldn't even think of doing the 2k recover process without the thb in hand.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!
