This post is a general question and not related to software versions or system type. We have avoided Streamline but we have a few scenarios where we might suggest this in the future. One question that has come up is regarding the dongles for the phones where you use a wall mount phone. I am sure someone has had this situation in the past and I am wondering how this worked. Since I have not installed this in the past I have no experience and would like to consider this before moving forward.

We have used them quite a lot at some residential aged care facilities

- we probably have 15 or 20 in the field now
- had 1 failure due to lightning and it was hard to get the intial config correct to support admin Vlan and residential vlan for voice and data

" One question that has come up is regarding the dongles for the phones where you use a wall mount phone"

what is the question ? where do you put it ?

you could perhaps use a mounting block (standoff ) behind the wall plate , only other option would be to leave it hanging to the side with a short cat 5 cable - not ideal but perhaps the only option

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
