I know that a NuPoint blade inside MAS can be integrated via SIP with Mitel 5000 but has any of you ever tried integrating a MAS/NP via SIP with a third party PBX like Avaya IP Office?

I dont think they re actually SIP connections , they are Minet - programmed as 5020 or 5240 exts on a MCD ( off the top of my head).

The AWC( conference ports )are sip .

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

If the Nupoint in the MAS can be integrated via SIP to the 5000, then I would guess it could be setup to other PBX's. Never tried it.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

@Billz66
The MCD/3300 integration use emulated IP phones yes, so MiNet protocol.
But the 5000 integration use SIP trunks, according to Mitel's documentation (never linked a NP to 5000 yet).

@LoopyLou
That's what I'm thinking too. Sadly we don't have a MAS demo in-house to test it out. Hoped someone would have tried it.

5000 only supports NP via SIP trunks.
As for the original question, big time outside the box.
One for the lab when I have the time!

We passed on the 5000 , havent seen or touched one

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

@Waldosworld

Please, tell me the results if you ever try.
