The NSU usually gets the appropriate firmware from whatever controller it's connected to (SX-2000, 3300ICP, etc.), not sure why you'd need a specific load other than what's on the system you're talking to.

Ifit is a PRI on an SX you might need to make sure you have the correct load as it does not download from the controller
Only NSU's on 3300's download the firmware

I have VER-1.5.2.12 which is pretty old 2005 for a Rel 6.0 MCD

Every NSU I've ever seen, both on 2K and 3300, has received firmware from the controller. On the rare occasions where I've had to use a custom NSU load, it had to be FTP'd to the 2K for it to load.
