Hello. I'm running ICP 3300 ver 7.0.21.5. The messagins sytem is 6510 version 2. We just upgraded from 1.5 DNIC integration. Since the upgrade a feature on our phones no longer work. I am able to set a button on our phones (5224/5340) to be a message waiting indication and they work to turn on and off the light on the button. However, when the light is on and you push the button it no longer calls the messaging system and asks for the password for the assigned ext. It does nothing when pushed. I'm wondering if it is a COS setting, but unable to find it.

Thanks!

You have both 5224 and 5340 sets. Is this only a problem on the 5340 sets? If so, try going through the set:

Press Applications
Press Settings
go to page 2
press Message key config
press call voicemail
press save

You can't fix stupid...

But you sure can profit from it!

If you have changed to an IP Integration you need to setup an HCI reroute for the Message callback function to work.

Setup a huntgroup (DN does not matter) and make it type HCI Reroute

In the Call routing Always tables Route the HCI DN to the voicemail in Day/N1/N2

In the voicemail in the Mitai config wizard, add the HCI reroute DN.

I think thats it, the docs can be more specific if I missed anything.

That appears to be all correct as far as the HCI reroute to answer your Q kwbMitel. And for the first Q from JustinKredible this is happening on both phones. I checked on my 5340 and I don't have that option for Message Key config under settings. It must be due to the software release on the 3300.

No, It is not likely a software level on the 3300.

I've been running the IP integration since 6.0 and never had your issue. It is diffinitely something missing in the HCI reroute.

If you added the Mitai HCI reroute in the VM and have not restarted the VMail services for example. Also, setting up the HCI reroute is not retroactive, it will only work for messages created after it is set up properly.

Here is what I have on the 3300. I have a hunt group with a number of 10787 with only 1 ext in it of 10673. I have the Hunt Group specified as type HCI reroute. This hunt group is set as circular and not terminal (if that makes any difference). I have the call rerouting assignments for both the hunt group DN and the ext contained in the hunt group pointing to my main voice mail hunt group of 10777.

In the vmail system. I have in the MiTAI config number 10787 as HCI.

The vmail system has been restarted as well.

Does this seem correct?

Thanks!

The HCI hunt group does not need a member. I would remove it.

The rerouting assignment needs to be specified as Always (you did not say)

The Phones need the HCI options enabled in their COS.

The rerouting is specified as always. I removed the member of that hunt group. I also checked the COS options for my phone. I have the following set to yes for the HCI options I found.

HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed
HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed

In the 6510 PBX settings under Messaging is it set to CTI?

It is set to Dial Digits. I was having an issue with it not lighting lights set to CTI. If you have it set to CTI, do you still need to have the on and off code specified?

Ah, that was it. I needed the CTI on in the PBX settings and the on/off codes set. When our vendor came out to set it up, he compared to his system and didn't have on/off codes set.

Thanks very much!!!

Very good, Thanks for the Star
