Hi,
Just upgraded our 3300 Cxi:
• System Hardware ID: 0000003799A4
• Software Release Version:4.2
• Active Software Load is 10.2.0.26_2
• Application record 79969030

to

• Software Release Version:5.0
• Active Software Load is 11.0.2.66
And now the IP phones 5324, 5330, 5340 will not discover DHCP, they stop and cycle at option 125, yet checking under thier settings DHCP is disabled, static works, but i need to be able to use both.

Any suggestions on how to turn DHCP back on under each phone as there does not seem to be an option for this.

Dave

Make sure that your phone don't have the native vlan 1.

No Vlans, no switches straight into the POE ports on the front, prior to upgrage all phone registed and working, both via DHCP and Static,
what i would likre to know is how to enable DHCP on the Phones, othe systems i deal with, inside the IP Phone is the ability to set Full, Partial or No DHCP, these Mitel phones have a large number of programmable settings but no easy option for turning on DHCP, just displaying the fact that it is disabled.
Just in case option 125 contains the following:
id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=192.168.1.2;call_srv=192.168.1.2;vlan=1;l2p=6;dscp=46
The phones do not progress beyond discovery and option 125 due to DHCP being disabled and yes it is on within the switch, confirmed both via System Admin tool and CLI
Just seems an issue since phones had firmware upgrade.

>>>id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=192.168.1.2;call_srv=192.168.1.2;vlan=1;l2p=6;dscp=46

You say no Vlans?

That should read:
id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=192.168.1.2;call_srv=192.168.1.2;dscp=46

Also there should be more options for the DSCP (3 in fact, Voice =46,Data =46 and Signalling?=23)

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

You have vlan1 in your option 125. You cannot used the native vlan on your phone since rls 5.0.

Hi kwb,

thank you the 125 option has worked.

now back to the other half dozen or so pbx's
