Hi,

We have calls forwarding from our Mitel system to mobile devices however it shows our ext number being forwarded rather than presenting the number originally dialed from.

We have raised this with Mitel however it appears we need a contract setup, does anyone know if it is possible to present the number originally dialed from and how to achieve this?

If you are UK there is a setting to use the number that called in as the diverted number presentation BUT you are only allowed to do so if you arrange with your supplier to allow this. The setting is in COS IIRC but if you enable it all your transferred calls will fail unless you have jumped through the hoops as outlined.

This is what Mitel are talking about when they say contract. You basically have to sign a form that says you will not use the ability to try and defraud people.

As it stands you can only forward numbers that are part of your allocated number plan. Just get in touch with your provider to get it started.

Get in touch with the Telco and verify that they will allow you to send caller ID other than the numbers you own.

Trunk type matters
Protocol if applicable
