HI Peeps

Dont know Mitels really so please bear with me.

We have a customer who has a Mitel 3300 running 5312 handsets (its about 4 months old). They have asked for a list/description of all the features that this system can offer.

I have been to the Mitel website which didnt help at all, and done some googling, but now Ive come here as Im more likely to get a result here than anywhere else.

Does anyone know where I can download/find something that would cover this.

Please ask any questions if need be.

Thanks

Do you have access to the 3300? If so, then log in and check the help. Do a search on 'features' and you should see something like this 'Features, supported by phones'. Select it and then open the spreadsheet it points to, it lists all of the features available for a particular type of phone.

Keep in mind that probably a lot of those features have to be enabled and may not available by default. But it at least gives you a list of what is possible.

Hi Irwin - thanks for the reply.

I have got this from the maintainers (who are being annoying about helping with this as they say it should have been organised at sale point - which I agree with in principle - but we sell IP office and they only wanted the mitel because they think the handsets are nicer):-

But it doesnt really help explain what each feature is.

Ask the maintainers to provide you with a copy of the Help Files. (provided with the software of the system and viewable using Internet Explorer)

A complete description of the features, cross referenced with set types and conditions is contained within.

There is far to much information to provide detailed descriptions in a forum such as this.

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

What you've displayed is the output of the FAC (Feature Access Codes) form. True, this doesn't tell you what each feature does, it just tells you how to execute it from your phone (again, if you have the permissions set to allow it).

I don't know of anything that explicitly describes the features, other than what you can get from the help files on the 3300. Most are 'standard' features that people expect from a PBX.

Maybe it would be better to ask the customer what kind of features they are thinking about. What would they like to do, and then see if the system will support it. It's kinda like going into a box store, pointing at a computer and asking, "What can it do?

Download the "3300 general information guide" from the internet. It's got loads of feature info included.

MitelMate - Thank you very much googled that and the first result was exactly what I needed.

Much appreciated.
