After installing Enterprise/Ops Manager how would adding an SX2000 to the system differ from adding a 3300. I'm not too familiar with the SX2000, as I started on Mitel when the 3300 was already out. I've installed many Ent/Ops Manager systems, but up until now they've always been for managing 3300 clusters. So I guess the main question I'm really asking, is what needs setting up on the SX2000 for this to work. Do you still add information in the controller registry? Do the SNMP and Mitel traps still work in the same manner. Also any other tips and tricks that you may have.

Thanks in advance for any answers given.

The only real difference is if the site is redundant as you need to add both the A and B plane IP Addresses.

Hi KwbMitel, this one isn't redundant. Will just be used for management, tel dir sync, etc.. Many thanks for answering.

The information you program in Controller Registry on a 3300 is programmed on the MC3E card on the 2K using the "IP" set of maintenance commands.

Excellent, thanks for letting me know. Are the Ops management operations, such as backups, telephone directory sync and unused dn collection carried out in the same way. I'm guessing that the latest version of Ent/Ops is ok for the SX2000. Many thanks.

Yes, all of the OpsManager functions work, assuming the software levels are compatible. Check your release notes to be sure.
