FYI, I've received two phone calls in the last two days from vendors Embarq and Graybar informing me that effective April 30, 2008 they will no longer be handling Mitel equipment including instruments!

Everything is going back to a MITEL-Direct ordering & distribution system.

We more or less expected this as a result of the Inter-Tel aquisition, although we were surprised (disappointed actually) to hear that the sets will also no longer be available through distribution. In years past we could buy the sets cheaper from Graybar than we could direct from Mitel. (sigh)...

You are not getting the entire story, but I can tell you there is more coming down the pipe that has to do with this, and it is all EXTREMELY positive for dealers. They are really setting this up to be profitable for EVERYONE while ensuring equality. It's going to be good!

I hope you're right. Just for what it's worth, Graybar was convenient because (A) they're local to me, just up the road, (B) they'd do verbal orders over the phone & take my credit card without having to write a dang P.O. every time and (C) the rep was good for a free lunch every now & then and occasional sports event tickets :) Same day mdse pickup at their will-call dock was awful handy too.
